Free One-Year Bible Reading Plan: Genesis to Revelation in 365 Days (KJV)

Reading through the whole Bible in a year is one of the best habits a Christian can build, and it’s easier with a clear plan you can check off. This free printable takes you from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22 in the order of the books in your Bible: all 66 books and every one of the 1,189 chapters, once each, in 365 days.

Many one-year plans give you a fixed number of chapters a day, which makes some days long and others very short. This plan balances each day by word count instead. Long chapters like Psalm 119 get a day of their own, short ones are grouped together, and most days take about 12 minutes.

16 pages · KJV · 365 days · Free for personal, family, and church use

Each monthly page lists the date (for a January 1 start), the day number, the day’s chapters, a checkbox, and a short notes line. A path map shows when you’ll reach each part of the Bible (the Law, History, Poetry and Wisdom, the Prophets, the Gospels, Acts, the Letters, and Revelation), and a 365-dot year tracker lets you color in your progress.

Start on January 1 or any day of the year. Print at 100% / Actual size on regular paper. Missed a day? Just pick up today.

Frequently asked questions

How many chapters a day is a one-year Bible reading plan?

The Bible has 1,189 chapters, about 3 to 4 a day over 365 days. This plan balances by length, so some days have 1 long chapter and others have several short ones. Most days take about 12 minutes.

Is this plan in Bible order?

Yes. It reads straight through in canonical order, from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22. If you’d rather follow events in historical order, use our free chronological plan.

Can I start any time of year?

Yes. Write your own dates in the Date column and follow the day numbers. In a leap year, use February 29 as a catch-up day.

What if I fall behind?

Don’t quit. Read today’s chapters and catch up on a quiet weekend, or just keep going and finish a little later.

Which Bible version does it use?

Any translation works for the readings. Every verse printed in the PDF is from the King James Version (KJV).

Is it free?

Yes, it’s free for personal, family, and church use. Please share the page link rather than the file.

Free for personal, family, and church use. Please share the page link rather than the file, and don’t resell. Scripture from the King James Version (public domain in the US). The daily allocation is ByScripture’s own.
