Frequently asked questions
How many names of Jesus are there?
There is no official count; lists run from about 50 to more than 200 names and titles. This printable gathers 25, one for each day of December up to Christmas. For 12 of the best-known titles with their KJV verses and meanings, read the names of Jesus in the Bible.
Is this the same as the Names of God printable?
No. The free Names of God printable covers 18 Hebrew names of God from the Old Testament, such as Elohim, El Shaddai and Jehovah-jireh. This one is about the names of Jesus. Use them together.
Is it Emmanuel or Immanuel?
Both. Isaiah 7:14 has Immanuel and Matthew 1:23 has Emmanuel, “which being interpreted is, God with us.” This printable uses Immanuel from Isaiah 7:14.
Can kids use it?
Yes, with a little help: the countdown cards and the JESUS coloring page work for ages 6 and up, and each name has a simple one-line meaning. For more, see the free Bible worksheets for kids.
Is there an A to Z list of the names of Jesus?
Not in this printable. The list follows the Christmas story in four weeks: promised from the beginning, the “I am” sayings, Saviour and King, and born in Bethlehem. An A to Z version is not included.
Can I start on a different day?
Yes. Number the cards 1 to 25 and begin any time of year, or start on the first Sunday of Advent (November 29, 2026) and read days 1–3 together.
Which Bible version is used?
Every name and verse is from the King James Version (KJV), checked word for word, including KJV spellings such as Saviour and Counsellor.
